About Phone Home:
Where do you find home in your body? Where do you find home in the world? What is the connection between home and freedom? At what point must we leave home to create the homes we desire? How do we imagine and re-imagine our return?
Phone Home encourages us to consider the body, memory, and earth as a portal, through which we can tap into ancestral knowledge and intuitive knowing in order to speak new futures to life. Phone Home invites participants to consider the stories of freedom makers of the African Diaspora, the tradition of travel in liberation and place-making, and the metaphysical practices we take on to find our center and create new realities.

About Xigga:
Xigga is an afro.philo.cosmology that affirms the complicated and beautiful ways that we navigate this space on the margins and the center at the same time… how we resist oppression and birth collective transformation.
The x represents the taboo, the marginalized, the excluded. The x represents the intersections. The x represents the unknown. The x speaks to Malcolm’s call for a reckoning with our history, and a renaming of who we are and how we be.
Anchored by the xigga manifestas, 9 poems that articulate the afro.philo.cosmology, xigga is creating new language and new ways of honoring our brilliant being.
